We just left our very first port visit today, and it was three days of r&r.
I actually found a music room in one of the recreation places, and it had a base model Yamaha kit on it that was in baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad need of tuning, but I didn't mind it one bit - any chance to play is a chance to play.
the pedal was AWESOME!!! it reminded me of the Ludwig Speed Kings, because it didn't have a chain, but it had a huge post on the right side, I guess it housed the spring assembly. It looked old, it was a Yamaha as well.
So smooth it seems as if I'd spent a few hours before just doing some steady 16th's... it felt effortless, I will have to write the model number down next time we go. We will be visiting that port again for fuel.
